How Jars Work

Marblejars Magic

Our jars work on a percentage basis, when you first upload a video you will enter the amount of marbles (or goal) that you want your jar to obtain. When you do this you can enter a number from 1 to 1 million marbles. Each marble represents 1 US Dollar.

After your video is uploaded and your jar is ready to accept marbles you will have up to 48 hours or until your jar receives one marble to edit your video.

Remember as soon as it is uploaded it is viewable by the public unless you have uploaded it to the Family Tree Category.

As soon as your jar receives one marble you will notice that no matter how many marbles you set for your original goal that your jar will display an image of a few marbles this represents that you have received at least one marble.

The images of marbles in the jar work on percentages. Example if you entered the marble amount you wanted during the upload process of 100 marbles then the images you would see would work with the formula below.

Formula based on a Jar goal of 100 marbles

Number of marbles dropped into jar = 1 marble =few marbles

Number of marbles dropped into jar = 25 marbles =¼ jar

Number of marbles dropped into jar = 50 marbles =½ jar

Number of marbles dropped into jar = 75 marbles =¾ jar

Number of marbles dropped into jar = 100 marbles =full jar

Jar stats will change as they fill

The system also informs users of the percentages that the jar is full as it fills, when viewing your own jar/video you will see a black image that will display your jar stats above the jar. Example: Jar Stats this jar currently contains 0 of 75 marbles. That makes it 0% full.

When viewing another user’s jar/video it will display the green give marbles tool with the jar stats above it. Example: This jar currently contains 0 of 75 marbles. That makes it 0% full.

When giving marbles to a jar no matter the amount you have chosen to give the animation of marbles dropping into the jar will only drop 50 marbles into the jar, this is done so that we create a process that is fast, user friendly and error fee. So if you are or become a marble drop addict then we suggest you drop in increments of 50 or less, this way you get the full fun out of dropping each marble into a jar.

Marble magic, if you notice when you give marbles to a jar they will slowly disappear. This is so that marble jars with high goal levels can fill. We have to use a little marblejars magic to fit all of those marbles into your jar.

Once you have successfully uploaded your masterpiece we suggest that you go out and promote it. Email it to your friends, embed it in your webpage, and spread the word about your video so that you can increase your chance of getting marbles. Be creative, have fun, and follow our safety guidelines.

Collecting your money

When a user cashes out the jar/video is removed from viewing unless the user submits a testimonial when they cash out.

We have several different options available to our users that are ready to cash out

Get paid by company check (Free)

Get paid by wire transfer (a $25.00 fee will be deducted from jar contents and you may have to pay a small fee at your receiving bank)

Load part or all of your cash onto a Marblejars prepaid credit card (coming soon)

Important!
When you cash out a jar and collect the money, you will be charged a 5% processing fee (based on the total amount of money in your jar). This fee covers credit card transaction fees incurred by marblejars during the cash out process.
