Question: What is Marblejars?
Answer: Hey Marblejars is here to help YOU get what you want or need! At Marblejars we believe there are people out there that would be happy to help you. So we've built a community to help you get what you want.
Marblejars is totally unique in design and function. it's the first site of its kind and allows members to upload videos and place them into categories. Each video is connected or associated with a marblejar. The member sets a goal for the jar by creating a limit to how many marbles the jar can hold. The jar has a shelf life of one year, or until the user cashes out the contents of the jar (or the jar reaches its goal). The jar can hold a maximum of one million marbles. Each marble equals one U.S. dollar.

Answer: What’s in it for anyone that gives to someone else?
So why do you donate? To feel better, to make a difference, to lend a helping hand, to make the world a better place.

Question: How do I collect my money
Answer: We have several different options available to our users that are ready to cash out.
Get paid by company check (Free)
Get paid by wire transfer (a $25.00 fee will be deducted from jar contents and you may have to pay a small fee at your receiving bank)
Load part or all of your cash onto a Marblejars prepaid credit card (coming soon)
Important!
When you cash out a jar and collect the money, you will be charged a 5% processing fee (based on the total amount of money in your jar). This fee covers credit card transaction fees incurred by marblejars during the cash out process.

Question: How do I join?
Answer: Simply click on this link and enter your information. Join Marblejars

Question: How can I check on the availability of a username?
Answer: When you join Marblejars, you will enter your desired username during the registration process. If the name has already been taken, we will display a message and you will be able to select a new username.

Question: How do I confirm my email address?
Answer: Once you complete the registration process, Marblejars will automatically send you a confirmation to the email address that you have registered with. In the email you will find a link to verify / confirm your email address, which will complete your registration.

Question: How many video/jars can I have?
Answer: Each jar can have one video associated with it. However, you may have an unlimited amount of jar/video combos.

Question: How do I promote my video/jar?
Answer: There are a couple of ways to promote your new video. On the view video page where your video and jar reside, you can use the embed link to show your video in other websites such as MySpace, Facebook, other community sites, or your personal website. In addition, you can use the 'send to a friend' link to email a link to your video to all your friends and family.

Question: Can I give marbles to other members?
Answer: Yes, just login to give marbles. When you view a member's video you can easily and quickly give marbles by using the "give" button that sits above their jar on the right hand side.

You must buy marbles and have them in your account before you can give marbles.

Solving Join and Login Issues

Question: I forgot my username or password. What should I do?
Answer: When you click to login at the top of any page, click the Login Help link in the upper right to retrieve your information.

Question: I have not received my email confirmation what should I do?
Answer: Check your junk folder and trash to make sure that the email didn't automatically get flagged as junk. If you find the email in your junk folder, please add Marblejars to your list of approved email providers. This may also happen if you provided an invalid email address when you registered.

Question: I can not login to the site, what should I do?
Answer: At the top of any page when you click the login button, click the Login Help link in the upper right to retrieve your information.

Category Questions

Question: What is The Category: Marblejars Family Tree?
Answer: Do you have a family event or party that you are organizing? If so, this is the category for you! By choosing this category, we will make your video private.

Question: What category should I place my video in?
Answer: First browse the categories and see where other users are placing their videos. If you still don't know what category is best for your video, ask your friends or family. Or just select the category that you think is best and if we feel it is not in the right one we will move it for you.

Question: I don’t see a category for my video what should I do?
Answer: Are you sure? Because we have several to choose from, but if you really don't see one for your video, we suggest that you go ahead and choose the one that fits best. That way your jar can start collecting marbles. Meanwhile contact us and let us know that you cannot find a proper category for your video. We will review it and let you know what we think.

Question: I have an Idea for a category. Can I submit it to marblejars?
Answer: Sure you can! Your our customer and we want to know what you want. So use our Feedback Survey to submit category ideas or anything that you think we should add to or fix on the site. Don't be afraid to speak your mind.
